A named user license provides the user with guaranteed access to Crystal Reports Server regardless of how many users are already on the system.

How many named users can I stack together?
You can stack up to 100 named users.

Can I convert named user licenses to Concurrent Access Licenses (CAL)?
There is no conversion path for named to concurrent access licenses (CAL).

What is a Concurrent Access License (CAL)?
CALs provide end users simultaneous access to Crystal Reports Server. For example, a 5 CAL license enables 5 end users to be logged onto the system at the same time. A 6th end user, attempting to log on, will be denied access until 1 of the first 5 users logs off or his/her session times out.

What's the benefit of combining named user licenses with CALs?
Named user licenses are ideal for frequent users or those that want guaranteed access. CALs are ideal for users that connect infrequently. The combination gives you the most flexibility to meet the reporting needs of your end users.
